Larry is an artist/communicator at heart. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from the University of Memphis. While learning his craft, Larry worked as the lead designer and animator for Motion Picture Laboratories, Inc., working on films and TV commercials. Larry served as Art Director for Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ, International) leading a team of 16 designers, producing communication materials for ministries throughout the world. He founded his first design and marketing firm in 1980 in California, where he also taught design at the University of California San Bernardino. Larry was hired by the university to bring real-world experience to the classroom and to inspire and mentor design students.

Larry and his wife, Sherry moved to North Carolina in 1991 where he continued his design and marketing firm until WRAL-TV, the CBS affiliate in Raleigh, recruited him as their Art Director. At WRAL, he helped develop their brand and their transition to HD broadcasting. WRAL was the first in the nation to broadcast in high definition – beating out all the networks.

As co-creative director at Gravitation, Larry helps organizations develop strategies, communication materials, websites and videos that give them a compelling platform for their marketing. Larry is thankful and energized by working with businesses, organizations and faith-based entities who represent great products and services, value integrity and have positive effects on people's lives. He loves God, people, the blues, Bar-B-Q, his 1951 Chevy truck and learning to fly-fish with his wife.
